IncluCities - Building inclusive cities with migrants
The IncluCities project (2020-2022) aims to improve the integration of third-country nationals in medium-sized cities through city-to-city cooperation. Eight cities, with varying degrees of experience integrating migrants, and their national associations of local and regional governments are participating.
The initiative is led by the Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR) and financed by the European Union’s Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF).
Inclucities is a three-year project based on four mentoring schemes, which will cover various areas, including education and training, access to essential services, active participation and social inclusion, and housing.
Cities (accompanied by associations of local and regional government) are paired in groups of two, in which one city acts as a mentor and the other city as a mentee.
